Gillson Park or Skokie Lagoons?
Our Chicago area programs are usually held at one of two locations. We always prefer to kayak on Lake Michigan at Gillson Park in Wilmette, but if weather conditions and temperment of the lake aren't appropriate for the class, we'll use our backup location at the Skokie Lagoons.
(Please note that many of our custom programs will always be held at the Skokie Lagoons. Check your Custom Outing Proposal to see where your group will paddle.)
For weekend classes, our instructors will update an outgoing voice mail message with the location of that day's class. For any outing that can be at eithe location, you will need to call our office at 847-256-4409 to confirm which location we will be kayaking out of. For weekend classes, please call after 9:00 AM at 847-256-4409 or 800-732-7328 and select voice mail option 3 to check the location for that day.
