Day 1 - Arrive on the island. Settle in to our hotel. There may be a chance for some paddling this afternoon, or rest and meet for our welcoming sunset drinks and delicious dinner.
Day 2 - Enjoy a tasty breakfast, then we'll meet for outfitting and an orientation, followed by a short paddle to ourluncheon spot. We'll paddle back and then enjoy a sunset hike followed by another delightful dinner.
Day 3 - Today begins our exploraiton of the coastline of Antiparos. We'll be keeping an eye out for cliff jumping spots and unusual rock formations along the way. Lunch will either be a seaside picnic or at a small coastal taverna.
Day 4 - We'll enjoy another picturesque paddle today, with time for enjoying the many coves and along the way.
Day 5 - More coastal paddling as we explore some of the very small islets close off the coast of Paros
Day 6 - Today, if conditions and weather permit, we will make the 1-mile crossing to Paros over the channel -said to be only 12 feet deep all the way across. We will circumnavigate Antiparos and will overnight on the island.
Day 7 - Today we will enjoy the morning on Antiparos and then make the crossing back to our "home" island, Paros itself, and complete our circumnavigation.
Day 8 - There may be time for a final morning paddle and some last minute shopping before we end our stay on Paros and catch our flight, hydrofoil, or ferry to the next destination. Those who are traveling on with us to Santorini will continuethe adventures for another week; others may be returning to Athens, going on to other Greek islands, or extending their stay on delightful Paros
* Note: This is our intended itinerary. As with any adventure travel, the forces of nature can
be unpredictable, causing us to make adjustments and changes to the itinerary. Rest assured
that our many years of exploring have provided us with numerous options if changes need to
be made. If it is too windy to paddle, various hiking, cultural and historical options will make
you glad for the winds.
Trip details:
Our planned accommodations for the week may include inns, rent rooms, windmills or deluxe
tent camping. Our trip is van supported the entire way. On most days, the van will meet us at
the cappuccino and lunch stops. This gives everyone a chance to paddle as much as they want
or take a break and shuttle in the van for part or all of a day’s itinerary. The van rides can give
you a unique inland perspective of the island. Driving in Greece can be its own special
adventure!
