Experts at PolarExplorers and The Northwest Passage will lead activities including wilderness travel, outdoor cooking, and shelter building in the Skokie Lagoons. All activities will be held outdoors. Outdoor conditions and weather are considered in the selection of activities. Example activities include snowshoe building, snowshoeing, fire building, dutch oven cooking, navigation, and scavenger hunts. Ages: 10-14
After School Adventures with The Northwest Passage is a unique outdoor education program that expands personal horizons. Explore local natural spaces by kayak, SUP, and hiking. Participants will gain confidence and skills that open the door to a lifetime of outdoor sports enjoyment and ecological appreciation and stewardship. Ages: 10-14
